There are times in life when things fall into place in such a way that it’s impossible to deny God’s hand in it all. For me, this baby’s birth connects the dots of a greater plan written long before this birth day.
I first met this family a few years ago when this baby’s biggest sister became a good friend to my little boy. In a unique turn of events, this sweet Mama (who just so happens to be a Labor & Delivery nurse) was on shift the night my own baby was born and was a source of support and love during my natural delivery 4 months ago.
It’s such a beautiful thing when those connections and ‘coincidences’ along the way come full circle, and having the opportunity to tell this family’s birth story is something for which I will always be grateful.
Strength and kindness are the two most remarkable traits this Mama exuded during her natural labor and delivery; it was a calm and peaceful experience full of love and support that was a beautiful thing to witness. On a daily basis, she provides so much grace and love to others, and it was really wonderful seeing her family and Kennestone colleagues loving on and supporting her during her baby’s birth.
The team green excitement was palpable, and the few hours leading up to the birth were full of much anticipation! None of us knew whether this baby would become the newest member of the girl tribe or begin a whole new adventure as the little brother. Hearing ‘it’s a girl’ or ‘it’s a boy’ for the first time on a baby’s birth day is one of the most precious surprises and adds a really unique element of excitement to the birth story!
As you can imagine, the baby’s entrance was one for the record books and something I won’t soon forget. After catching his baby, Dad announced the birth of their son in one of the sweetest moments I’ve witnessed! That moment of realization was incredible and so full of raw emotion and exhilaration for everyone involved. His sweet grandmother’s reaction was especially beautiful. This little boy not only gives 3 happy girls a baby brother, he also gives his grandmother her first grandson, and I’m so happy to have shared some sweet tears with her after he was born!
I’m thankful beyond measure to have been surrounded by all the happiness when this family’s newest addition arrived and so happy to be able to share images from this joyful Kennestone birth photography session!
Welcome to the world baby boy; you are so loved!
